BURBANK, California – “The Greatest Showman” casts wow the world after delivering a live commercial on Sunday night during the Fox’s live musical special.
The live commercial was aired at the Fox’s musical special, “A Christmas Story Live!” The casts are composed of Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. Together with the whole casts, they performed the “Come Alive” song from their upcoming movie.
The Greatest Showman performance began with some kids leaving the set of the Christmas Story Live then followed by Hugh Jackman who was in a P.T. Barnum costume. Jackman approached the back lot first, which contained an enormous historical set. He kicked off his performance by singing a quieter song stanza, before moving big and tossing the cane he was holding to another person.
As Jackman finished singing his part, the camera immediately focused to Zac Efron, with his mustache, together with her co-star Zendaya, who wore her pink wig. Together they danced and sang on the building steps.
The Bearded Lady, played by Keala Settle, joined the casts together with the dancers who have filled their street set.
Then, Hugh Jackman did the P.T. Barnum signature hat flip while dancers made a colorful turn of costumes that joined the finale. The finale was composed of circus performers along with the main movie casts. Keala Settle sung a high note while snow fell over the casts.
The live commercial was three minutes, but as stars revealed on their Instagram accounts, they rehearsal time was very lengthy.
Before their number, Zac Efron had tweeted a behind-the-scene video which showed the casts in their casual clothes during the run-through.

The Greatest Showman is directed by Michael Gracey and was written by Bill Condon and Jenny Bricks. It is a biographical musical film that was inspired by P.T. Barnum’s story in creating a show called the Barnum & Bailey Circus.
The filming began on November 2016 and will have a nationwide release on December 2017.
The film received three nominations from the 75th Golden Globe Awards such as Best Motion Picture for the musical or comedy genre, Hugh Jackman as the Best Actor for the musical or comedy genre, and “This Is Me” for the Best Original Song category.
The show is rated by the Motion Picture as PG for its thematic elements which include brawling.
In 2009, The Greatest Showman movie was first announced with Hugh Jackman playing the lead role. Michael Gracey was chosen as the director of the film on August 2011. Then in 2013, the Fox films have hired Paul and Pasek to write the film’s songs.
Phineas Taylor Barnum or P.T. Barnum is an American showman and politician in the 1800s. In 1870, he established his circus business at Delavan,Wisconsin, when he was 60 years old. At first, he named it the “P.T. Barnum’s Grand Traveling Museum,” then became “P.T. Barnum’s Travelling World’s Fair,” and in 1881, he merged with James Hutchinson and James Bailey wherein it was named “P.T. Barnum’s Greatest Show on Earth.” Hence, this movie features P.T. Barnum as The Greatest Showman.
