Saweetie has flipped Too Short’s Bay Area classic from 2006, “Blow the Whistle,” for her new song “Tap In.” The single, which also arrives beside a new music video, is the second offering from her upcoming album, which is set to hit our ears later this year.
Pretty B*tch Music accompanies 2019’s Icy EP, with Saweetie noting that the usage of “b*tch” in the title as an acronym: Boss, Independent, Tough, CEO, Hyphy.
She notes that the influence behind the name came from 2Pac’s “Thug Life” motto, which stood for “The Hate U Give Little Infants F*cks Everyone.”

“I want to change the meaning of pretty ’cause there’s this model on social media of how a woman looks,” she explains. “I grew up in a house of all shapes and sizes of women. Pretty means different things to different cultures, different groups, different backgrounds, and different ages.”
