Justin Bieber’s former pal Lil Twist has been released from jail early after serving time for allegedly assaulting and robbing former child star Chris Massey.
Rapper Twist, real name Christopher Lynn Moore, was sentenced to a year behind bars in November after he was accused of breaking into actor Kyle Massey’s apartment in November 2014 and stealing from his brother Chris, who he also reportedly attacked.
Moore, who faced up to 25 years in jail, pleaded no contest to six charges, including burglary, grand theft, battery, and assault with a deadly weapon, and was given until February 3 to turn himself into Los Angeles County lawmakers and begin his sentence.
However, the 24-year-old, who is signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label, has since been allowed to walk free and recently took to social media to celebrate with a selfie.
Alongside a picture of himself in the back of a car, he wrote, “I’m Home! Thank God!”
At the height of their friendship, Lil Twist was a regular guest at Bieber’s party pad in Calabasas, California.
However, relations became strained after a woman filed a battery report against Moore in 2013, claiming he grabbed her arm during a party at the pop star’s mansion, weeks after the rapper was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) while behind the wheel of Bieber’s Fisker Karma sports car. He was later cleared of both charges.
