Neil Young has confirmed the reports of him marrying his longtime girlfriend, Daryl Hannah in a message urging to vote.
The longtime couple has reportedly tied the knot in a private, small ceremony at California in the month of August. Both of them had kept mum about the event till now. Finally, young revealed this news on Wednesday in a message that he recorded to urge his fans to vote.
The musician enjoys the success in his field with his supergroup of Stills, Crosby, Nash & Young. He released the official video of the band’s song on his Archives website. The song was written in 1970 to protest the Kent State shootings, an incident where four unarmed anti-war students were shot dead by the Ohio National Guard.
With the release of this video, he also called attention for a more strict gun control rules. He said that we need real laws to protect us from guns. The politicians support the NRA because in return they get the support from the NRA, but we are not at all presented in all this scenario.
He also said, “Today’s students are brave, demanding change in violent times. We stand with them. They are us. We are them. This has been going on for far too long. My wife Daryl and I put this video together for you to reflect on.”
He ended the blog with a simple message and appeal to his fans to ‘vote.’
The singer got divorced a few years ago and has been open about his relationship with the actor. Young and Hannah were reportedly dating each other since 2014. With this simple message, he made it clear that they both have taken the wedding vows.
Last Neil Young and Daryl were seen together in her Netflix movie Paradox earlier in the year.
