Big Sean’s ‘Detroit 2’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

Big Sean’s album “Detriot 2” hits  No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart making this his 3rd time on the chart.  The set finished with 103,000 equivalent album units its first week of release. Falling right behind 6ix9ine who debuted at Number Four on the RS 200 with TattleTales. His first album since being released from prison earlier this year.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Sept. 19-dated chart (where Detroit 2 bows at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
