Ariana Grande has proven yet again that she’s not letting her broken heart get in the way. In fact, she’s used her most recent ones to her advantage. She’s like a hotter, cooler, and cuter version of Taylor Swift. Yup, we said it. We all know that singers like the two super stars have and will continue to use their past relationships as song material. But, with her latest album, Thank U, Next, Ariana Grande just takes things to a whole new level.
Her first single from the album, also entitled Thank U, Next is all about moving on from her failed romantic relationships. She details how she’d moving into a stage in her life where she prioritises her relationship with herself. The song debuted at number one following news of her breakup with fiancé, Pete Davidson. The two called it quits when Ariana Grande was devastated with the news of the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
After weeks of topping the charts, Ariana Grande released another single entitled, 7 Rings. In it she boasts of how she would rather splurge on her best friends rather than invest in another romantic relationship.
And just this week, Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored made its debut and topped the charts as well.
