Former Disney star, Tamera Mowry-Housley has confirmed that her niece, Alaina Housley, whom Mowry-Housley has known since Housleywas 5 years old, is one of the 13 victims of the shooting at Borderline Bar & Grill in California last Wednesday evening. Among the 13 victims were the gunman himself along with one police officer.
Tamera Mowry-Housley of the Sister, Sister sitcom and her husband, Adam Housley took to Twitter to get as much information about the Pepperdine freshman’s whereabouts as she was reported to have been missing up to hours after the incident. Unfortunately, it was to no avail.
Following the then trending topic, the reality TV star replied to one of tweet regarding information about Alaina’s fellow Pepperdine schoolmates that were said to be at the California bar as well. The twitter user replied and said that the other students that Alaina was with were already confirmed to be safe.
The celebrity couple managed to get ahold of more information at the local hospital where the victims of the shooting were brought. The hospital was on lockdown and police did not allow Housley to enter the premises to look for his niece among the victims that were rushed to the hospital.
But, while there he was able to alert authorities regarding the location of his niece. Her iPhone and Apple Watch indicated that she was still at the Borderline Bar & Grill.
Housley, a former Fox News anchor has since released a statement that his 18-year old niece was slain in the gun-related incident. He described her as a beautiful soul and as an incredible young woman. He also thanked everyone for offering prayers and that their family would appreciate that they be given privacy.
