Lisa Bonet’s divorce filing from Jason Momoa resulted in a swift custody arrangement for their two children, highlighting their cooperative co-parenting. Despite announcing their separation in January 2022, Bonet’s filing listed October 7, 2020, as their separation date, a decade after they started dating in 2005.
Their divorce settlement grants both Bonet, 56, and Momoa, 44, joint legal custody of their 16-year-old daughter, Lola, and 15-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf. They will equally share their kids’ expenses and responsibilities related to their well-being, education, and overall care. An exception concerns travel expenses, with the responsible party covering such costs during trips with the teenagers.
Surprisingly, they opted against child support and spousal support agreements, reflecting their amicable parting. Their joint statement from two years ago expressed a commitment to evolving together through life’s changes, emphasizing their enduring love and devotion to their children.
Aside from Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, Bonet is also the mother of Zoë Kravitz, her daughter with Lenny Kravitz. Their bond remains strong even after Bonet and Momoa’s romantic relationship ended, as evidenced by Momoa accompanying his kids to support their big sister at “The Batman” premiere in March 2022.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Momoa proudly represented the family, expressing excitement and emphasizing that it’s all about family. Their conscious uncoupling echoes the approach of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, demonstrating a mature and harmonious transition.
