Doja Cat has claimed that she has a new song called ‘NAS’ that she’s planning to release next week.
After Doja initially shrugged off Nas’ diss of her by issuing a sarcastic response last weekend, she told fans during an Instagram Live broadcast on Thursday (August 20) that ‘NAS’ could come out next week.
The timing of the song’s potential release is significant as it follows on from the recent Nas track ‘Ultra Black’, which saw the New York rapper take aim at Doja at the end of the first verse.
While on Instagram Live, Doja explained that ‘NAS’ is an acronym for three words and claimed that she was planning to release her upcoming song before Nas put out ‘Ultra Black’ last week (August 14).
“Which is funny! It’s kinda nice… because that was before the fact. If you know what I’m talking about, then you know what I’m talking about,” she said about the meaning behind the upcoming song. “If you don’t, you don’t.”
Nas, recently spoke with Hit-Boy on Power 106, and the rapper insisted his line about Doja was just lyrical wordplay, saying, “I just really was saying a rhyme that rhymed with ‘Ultra Black.’ I rhymed that word with ‘ultra black,’ I didn’t even think of it. It’s all love, you know what I’m sayin’? It’s all love. “It was just like ‘Michael Blackson black,'” Nas continued. “They’re bars. Just lines. We play with words, man.”
