Rapper Drake has scored his seventh number one record on the Billboard 200 albums chart with More Life.
The Hotline Bling rapper’s album was released on March 18 and has sold 505,000 equivalent album units to take the top spot. The week’s sales are the highest since Drake’s album Views was released last year with 1.04 million units selling. The 30-year-old also set a record with his streaming totals with 257,000 equivalent units, beating his previous record-breaking 163,000 total units for Views in its first week. Each unit counts as 1,500 streams of songs from the album, according to Billboard.com.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (divide) comes in at number two, while Rick Ross’ Rather You Than Me debuts at three.
The Beauty and the Beast soundtrack and Depeche Mode’s Spirit round out the top five, respectively.
